Speaker Take-Aways

On Wednesday the speakers we had blew me away and actually took me by surprise. If I had to take something away from each, I would take away the story that T-L told us about when she goes into a room with all the guys and they give her the weird looks. She said "what's it matter, we will all be dead in 80 years anyway," this really stuck with me and made me realize that I shouldn't care what other people think. If someone doesn't believe in me, I have to prove them wrong and show them that I will do it.

Kacey gave me something similar to think about, but it was more like a mindset. She brought up what drove her and how she got to where she is today. A word that not many people think of when it comes to achieving your dreams is discipline, once I heard that I was like that has to be one of the most underrated words. In my case, I have to discipline and go to class, not skip workouts, eat right, and make those connections that will bring me success in the future.
